Family Castle in Prussia

Elizabeth DeMartino Member	posted 10-04-2007 09:52 PM My family fled Prussia in 1881 or so. They said Kaiser Wilhelm took their castle, on the Oder River. The town was called Bromberg. How can I research if the castle even remains and what happened back then?

Edward Member	posted 10-19-2007 02:50 PM Leksykon Zamkow W Polsce Which I take it means 'Castles in Poland' ? Does have on page 119 a picture of an old print of the castle there. Though from the print it looks more like a fortified house. There is some decent detail there with plenty of dates. But as it is all in Polish! Earlist date mentioned is 1343; and the latest is 1895.
