No, the site is mine, but it would take an impossible amount of web space to provide all the drawings which are in the books ( 5 large volumes). I provided just a small sample to illustrate the quality of the books, and alert a wider audience to their value. Stirling is in the books, and comprises some 14 pages of plans and descriptions, the drawings covering the principal buildings, with plans of the whole site. I recommend you buy it if you wish detailed drawings and histories of large numbers of sites. Go to http://www.jamesthin.co.uk/intro.htm or http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0901824186/qid=1003008848/s r=1-1/ref=sr_sp_re/202-1620411-7395028 ------------------ 'Demeure par la verite' Visit; Gordon's Scottish Castles Resource Page

Thanks Gordon, I didn't think it had that many pages. All I needed was basic design, and levels. I was going to use image files I found for the detail work. Thanks Again, ------------------ The Dungeon Master, |

Chris, Stirling is one of Scotland's largest castles, having been the Royal residence for many centuries. It contains numerous large buildings over a very large area. Hence the volume of plans and drawings. I suspect that any model with a reasonable amount of detail would be a very ambitious project indeed.------------------ 'Demeure par la verite' Visit; Gordon's Scottish Castles Resource Page [This message has been edited by Gordon (edited 10-14-2001).] |
