I recently received a letter from the Generallandesarchiv Karlsruhe. One sentence of the letter says that "This diploma was issued at Batzendorf's castle Hirschingen." The date the diploma was issued was October 15, 1700.

Can anyone tell me where this Batzendorf castle was located.

I would say it's located in Alsace, France, which was at the time under German rule. It's the region of Bas-Rhin.
But I'm not sure to which castle does the diploma reffer to.
